The Yang laboratory in the\nDepartment of Biology at Temple University is currently seeking a Research\nAssistant Professor. We are looking for an individual who is driven to innovate\nin microscopy imaging, addressing complex biomedical challenges, building upon\nour past successes and future aspirations. Our current focus involves the\ndevelopment and application of high-speed super-resolution microscopy\ntechniques to unravel critical transport mechanisms within biophysics,\nbiophotonics, and cell biology.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

The Research Assistant\nProfessor will be integral to a project centered on studying molecular\ntrafficking in live cells, utilizing single-molecule tracking and\nsuper-resolution microscopy techniques. The objective is to elucidate the\nintricate molecular transport mechanisms operating between subcellular\norganelles. This endeavor not only promises to address fundamental questions in\ncell biology but also holds significant implications for future therapeutic\nadvancements in human diseases.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

Key responsibilities for the\nResearch Assistant Professor in Dr. Yang\u2019s lab encompass the development of\nnovel biological and optical microscopy techniques. This includes, but is not\nlimited to, single-molecule tracking, super-resolution microscopy imaging, cell\ntransfection, protein purification, gene mutation analysis, participation in\nacademic conferences, publication of scientific findings, and assisting Dr.\nYang in mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
